Venue? 13 Magnolia Way, Ridgeworth, Bellville – close to Tygervalley Centre

Hours? 2 hours daily x 5 days = 10 hours

Class times? Classes might be scheduled throughout the day – determined upon enrolment

Cost? R695 per subject – payable upfront EFT – no cash

Registration is only confirmed when payment is made. Email us enrolment form with proof of deposit / send proof via internet banking. Students who have not paid may not do the course.

Why have you put this course together?

In working with many students from various backgrounds as well as running our first Post-Matric year programme this year (for the November Finals) and intervention rewrite courses for the February/March rewrite exams, we have seen the desperate need for students to be prepared for their final exam. They need a place where it is comfortable, relaxing, friendly and supportive to their struggles in Maths & Science. We only run small groups of 1 – 6 students, which means we can give individual attention and help improve the student’s ability in Maths & Science. That is the very why we have discounted our prices for Holiday Classes so heavily. It is so that we can work through more work for a fraction of the cost, as well as cater for students who cannot afford private tutoring rates.

What are our expectations of the student?

We expect them to come prepared … that they will know what it is they are struggling with and be able to participate in the group by asking and answering questions. We value and encourage group participation highly. We also expect them to do the homework that will be given to them, study the notes of each day’s lesson and put in at least 2 -4 hours per subject daily in their own time- practise makes perfect! They cannot rely on us alone to pass – they have to put in work of their own every day so that what was explained to them is committed to memory by practising and reviewing constantly. Students are tested daily on the previous day’s work.

About BrightSparkz Academy

We are specifically a Maths & Science tutoring centre which is located in the heart of the Tygervalley area in Ridgeworth. Our venue is very central and easily accessible. What makes us so very unique is that we only work with small group classes of between 1 – 6 students that allow for a creative and stimulating learning environment, especially as we are able to give individual attention to each student and they feel safe to ask questions. Our vision is to walk alongside each learner in our Academy to achieve top marks throughout their school career, and ultimately gaining access into the tertiary institution of their choice to pursue their chosen career.
