Our tuition is based on 3 principles:
1. Finding the problem, by assessing: • Current academic level
• Gaps in academic knowledge & ability
• Lifestyle (holistic approach)
• Problem areas within subjects
• Study methods & organisational skills
2. Back to basics (to fill in gaps): • All subject basics reviewed, until the learner is up-to-date.
• All laws, theorems, etc. are worked through, until fully understood.
• Study methods taught are the most simple and effective.
3. Application & the real world • Once the subject basics are covered, the learner will learn to apply them to different situations and examples.
• Practice, practice, practice!
• The relevance of the subject in the real world is illustrated through practical examples, articles, and discussions between the tutor and learner.
The outcomes of these 3 simple philosophies are:
• Increased interest in the subject
• This leads to improved attitude towards the subject, and learning in general.
• In turn, this results in greater motivation and desire to learn more, and do well.
• Ultimately, greater school success, open doors to pursue their career of choice, and achievement of their life goals!
